I work with solicitors, case managers or personal injury companies and I can offer initial needs assessment, MTD attendance, consultation, and psychological intervention and therapy, for a client as part of a personal injury claim. Please be advised I don’t do expert witness reports. I provide assessments and interventions both in English and Romanian, in person at my office in Rochester, Kent and online. Upon request, I can organize home visits, at an extra cost.
Fees
My hourly rate is £120. This rate is charged for any client work that I am engaged with, including (but not limited to) assessment, psychological therapy sessions, report/letter writing, MDT attendance, correspondence, telephone calls and reading client documentation. Travelling time to attend meetings or home visits is calculated at £80 per hour (pro rata) and mileage is charged at an additional 45p per mile (LAA rates).
Preferred method of payment is bank transfer. Bank details can be found on my invoices. I invoice monthly for work completed. Invoices must be paid within 14 days.
The Therapy Process
The process usually starts with an assessment of need and current difficulties followed by an initial report outlining the current presentation and needs, recommendations and treatment plan. We usually provide an estimate number of sessions needed,
The therapy starts only after authorization has been granted from you. Therapy sessions usually occur weekly or fortnightly, and are usually up to 60 minutes in length unless agreed otherwise beforehand. Longer sessions will be charged on a pro rata basis. A number of sessions will be agreed in advance. Any additional sessions required will be discussed and agreed before commencing. At the end of agreed sessions a therapy report can be produced, if needed, at an extra cost.
48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation and clients will not be charged for the session provided this notice is given. Where there is less notice, a fee of 100% of the session cost will be incurred. You (the case manager/personal injury company) will be invoiced for the fees for missed or cancelled appointments, and it is your decision as to whether you wish to recover these costs from your client.
The therapy process is a collaborative one. Therapy is not necessarily a “quick fix” and it can take time and work to see changes. I cannot guarantee that sessions will result in improvement, but will do my utmost to provide effective treatment. I will not suddenly or without warning terminate our contract, except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. if risk issues emerge that necessitate the termination of work).
As a Clinical Psychologist I draw on different models of therapy. For more information about me please visit about page. Please be advised, I am not trained in EMDR but I provide Trauma-Focused Intervention including TF-CBT. I can work with both physical and mental health issues and adjusting to the life post accident. I can provide support to carers and families.
